Gresley 8' 6" heavy duty bogie pair

This bogie was used by the LNER for restaurants and articulated carriages. Very similar in appearance to the standard bogie, it can be identified by heavier set frames and an additional row of rivets over the axle boxes.

Supplied with an NEM pocket and optional riser to adjust ride height, no assembly is required to the bogie frame. Fitting to the carriage is by an 8BA screw and nut (not included).

A version of this bogie is also available for articulating carriages. For an articulated set you'll need a pair of this bogie style, 1 for each end carriage , plus an articulated version ordered separately for each carriage join (twin - 1 , triplet - 2, quad - 3, quint - 4)

Simply remove additonal parts and printing support, clean the wheel voids, then pop in your choice of bearings into the axle boxes. Gently lever the frames out wards to insert your wheel set for a bogie that runs freely.

I don't include wheels or bearings as everyone has their own favourite choice of supplier. Designed for 26mm axles and works well with wheel sizes up to 14mm diameter in OO, EM and P4.

Resin accepts normal paints with no special preparation. Parts can be glued using PVA , superglue or most other adhesives.

NB plastic glue won't work on resin.
