Built by the GNR in 1921, diagram 78F Quint diner consisted of a brake first at the south end, a 1st class dining car, kitchen car, 3rd class Dining car and a brake third at the north end giving an overall length of 246' 1".

In the 1930s, the set was used in for experiments in receiving radio programs and the brake 1st (carriage 49011 ) was fitted with a receiver, aerial and head phone storage cupboard.

The set lasted until 1953, having been used in the consist for the White Rose train, when it was damaged beyond repair in a siding accident.

The kit contains all 5 carriages, Floors pans, Bogies, seating and partitions can be included if required. As always, TP vents, battery boxes, vacuum cylinders and corridor connetors are included with the kit.
