Before electric lighting was common, most carriages had gas cylinders under the frame for lighting, as well as Restaurant/kitchen carriages which used Gas for cooking.
I've a range of cylinders available from 4ft to 8ft , 18 inch diameter up to 24inch (yes clearance is a problem).
Let me know what dimensions you need and if I don't have that already, I'll print off suitable cylinders for you. If you're not sure, let me have a diagram number or type of carriage and I'll work out something appropriate.
