FAQs

  • What Printers do you operate?

We have both FDM machines and DLP Resin printers. If you want to know more, come along and meet us at an exhibition where we’ll be happy to talk about CAD and 3D printing in general.

  • Do you take Card Payments?

Yes. Online sales are all handled by PayPal. If you wish, you can post a cheque payable to Thatcham Create or contact me for bank details for faster payments. At exhibitions, we can take cash, Chip and Pin or contactless.

I can also take payments by card over the phone; I may have to call you back at an arranged time if I’m away from my desk.  I don't retain your card details and I'll only call you for payment if we've already agreed it.

  • Have you got a searchable catalogue?

Work continues (January 24) on updating the drawings catalogue. This will make cross referencing drawings, diagrams and dates a lot easier.   Most of the carriages have now been detailed in a spreadsheet, the next step will be setting up an online database. In the meantime, happy to send you the old catalogue or help find the drawing you need.

  • Have you got a phone number?

Yes. +44 (0)1635 925627.  I work shifts at my day job, so hours are unpredictable. I may answer the phone when I'm away from my office, in which case I'll arrange a time when we can talk in detail.

  • Can you design a ....?

Yes, I probably can. If it’s an item that I can sell in my range, then I’ll suggest a reasonable CAD charge. If it is a bespoke design, my hourly rate applies, plus development costs to cover materials.

  • Are drawings available for download?

Sorry, drawings can't be downloaded. You are welcome to scan paper drawings for your personal use.

New Product Range Launched

Isinglass Models now produce carriage kits in N Gauge.

Designed to clip on to a Dapol 60 foot Gresley underframe (not supplied) , the 3 part carriage body kit is simple to build and the perfect starting point for a wider range of high detail rolling stock.

Taken from carriage kits already available in 4mm, the initial offering is a Gresley bogie luggage brake covering diagrams 113,198,296,224,245,260,315 in either teak or steel panels. Offering the modeller the Pathe Cinema cars, luggage brakes and pigeon vans from 1928 right through to the mid 1970s.

Further carriages that fit the 60' underframe will be released based on customer demand, so contact Isinglass to add a diagram to the list.

News

November 2022

The year has seen a lot of kit releases including Gresley vestibule stock.  There is now a choice of TPO kits, both the DIagram 164/165 (which were the most numerous) as well as the earlier Gresley diagram 131 TPO covering 3 vehicles that carried mail from 1929 - 1970.

Work on the beavertail continues, with the first test print showing a good shape and fit of the tail section.

Where to next? Pre grouping luggage brakes are bubbling at the top of the list, along with requests for NER stock and Restaurant triplet sets.

I’m (still) looking into frames for the individual GNR diagrams to make them available as 6/8 wheel vehicles.

background work continues on 2mm scale/N Guage.
